NEW BEGINNINGS ALL AROUND!

For starters, if you’re coming here from social media…yes, it’s true. I cut my locs off! Why? Because I felt like it was just time for a change. I’ve been growing my hair out since I was 23 years old, and officially started my loc journey when I was 26. I am now 32, and knowing that hair (especially Black hair) holds on to memories, emotions & trauma, I figured it was a good idea to finally let go of the remnants of my 20s and give myself some new, fresh energy for my 30s! But fear not! The locs will return in a few years (but all over, not just the dread fade).

Second, and perhaps most important, I’m dropping a brand new RAW RANDOS tape at the end of the month on Friday, the 31st! And if you’ve been tuned in to the RR series this whole time, you know that I’ve always had at least 1 track named after a place in CT, whether it was “WeHa Rezzy”, “Exit 39” or “Lake Compounce”. This particular tape is my official love letter to my homestate, the people, and places I frequented when I was younger (some of which have since closed). No matter where I go, and no matter how long I’ve lived elsewhere, I will always represent CT!
