THE SOLAR FLARE SHOW (Episode #9001)
Happy Holidays Everyone, I Come Bearing Gifts!!!
In case you haven’t seen my posts on social media, I have a gift for y’all in the form of a new video podcast called “The Solar Flare Show”, where I highlight friends & family that helped to shape me as a musician and a person. And this first episode, no matter where this show goes, might be the most important one to me.
20 years ago on the day before Christmas Eve, my cousin Mario (aka Max Rice) taught me how to produce music on a video game called Music Generator. That moment alone changed & shaped my life and what I chose to do with it, so I just had to document & commemorate it by having a sit-down with him to talk about his musical journey and how it led to him starting mine. Much love to Mario, the rest of my mother’s side of the family, and to any other creative who had a cousin/sibling/parent/uncle/aunt or any sort of mentor that schooled them to the game as a kid!
And as an added bonus, Mario was gracious enough to send me some of the beats that I made between the ages of 11 & 13 on Music Generator, so I decided to release a brand new RAW RANDOS tape with those beats, which can be found on the NEW RELEASES page for free!
